Job Description

Job Number:  7933 - Sales and Use tax
Summary of Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for sales and use tax compliance, as well as a variety of other tax and compliance related activities. 

 

  • Sales and use tax filing in multiple states
  • Handle sales tax audits
  • Handle annual reports, licenses, registrations, and other filings
  • Handle nexus questionnaires.  Negotiate VDAs and coordinate XYZ letters and other related projects
  • Serve as an internal resource for customers and sales reps
  • Assist with income taxes- state allocations, FIN 48, etc
  • W-9 Administration and 1099 reporting
  • Complete government censuses
  • Other duties as assigned by the controller
Experience and Education:
Education/ Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of experience in sales and use tax
Software industry experience is beneficial
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret complex legal and governmental documentation.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Database experience is a plus.
