Mitch Ornstein
Business Development Manager
JD, SALO Project
As a tax associate at Deloitte & Touche, Mitch Ornstein helped a Fortune 100 client recoup $15 million in sales tax. As an attorney in private practice, he handled acquisitions for companies ranging from $350,000 to $2.5 million. Mitch also owned an industrial distribution company, where he reduced labor costs by 20%, increased annual revenues by $1 million, and negotiated its acquisition by a larger company.
At SALO Project, Mitch has found a niche that calls on his entire background. "I have hard-core accounting experience. I've done sales. I've managed people and projects. SALO allows me to integrate my skills," he says.
"I've always been a connector," Mitch adds. "For example, my high school friends are networked into my law school friends. I enjoy linking people's personalities and needs." Making the right connections is what SALO Project is all about. Mitch defines his job as "serving our clients' financial and accounting needs, and finding challenging work for our consultants."
Mitch calls SALO "the most rewarding company I've ever worked for." In a growing industry, SALO has the right perspective to be a market leader. "We take the approach that the client and the consultant are equally important," Mitch says. "The clients pay the bills. We need to offer them worthy talent."
