With more than 20 years experience at financial institutions and consulting firms, Julie brings significant real world experience to SALO clients and associates. Julie began her career at US Bank where she managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of commercial real estate across the country. She then worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers where she offered her consulting services to real estate, start-up and established companies through providing litigation support, workout and capital sourcing services. These roles positioned her well for her next role as Director of Corporate Development, where Julie worked to build and execute the corporate growth strategy at RBC Dain Rauscher.

Prior to coming to SALO in 2007, Julie consulted to small business owners to grow their start-up companies. “During this time, I recognized the significant value of short-term consulting services and just how critical it is for companies to be able to utilize senior-level talent on a contract basis. Now a Business Development Manager for SALO Project, I thoroughly enjoy matching brilliant, experienced talent with client wants and needs to help move companies forward.”

Julie earned her degree in finance and marketing from the Carlson School of Management and her MBA in finance and management at Columbia Business School in New York. Julie gives back by serving on the MCREW finance committee and the Association for Corporate Growth’s sponsorship committee. Among Julie’s honors are her Finance and Commerce “Top 20 Women in Finance” award and her Business Journal “Women to Watch” award, both received in 2006.

Julie is just as adventurous as she is determined. She enjoys travel, golfing, skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, and has even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. Julie also enjoys spending time with her two young children and her husband, Taro.
