Throughout her career in human resources, Judy Zimmer has sought to serve as an advocate for employees to help make their company a fulfilling place to work. So her job as consultant advocate at SALO, where she acts as the voice and resource for consultants, is a dream job that brings together all of her strengths and passions.

"There has never been a time in my career that I didn't want to do my absolute best for my employees. At SALO, 100 percent of my focus is on doing that job," Judy says. "In my role, I get to provide unbelievable service to employees on behalf of the company."

Judy reaches out to nearly 300 SALO consultants to find out whether they are happy, supported and fulfilled in their current jobs. Additionally, she problem-solves and works with consultants on their career development and goals.

"When we have people on assignments who absolutely love what they do, the environment they are in, and the type of person they work for, that is a match," says Judy. "We know our clients are going to be happy if the consultants are motivated and happy."

The consultant advocate position is well suited to Judy's work experience. She spent 18 years in human resources, as well as a decade as an executive coach working with business owners, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and other high-level managers on meeting their career and business goals.

Previously Judy worked for seven years as director of human resources at a large franchise group, where she oversaw 5,000 employees in six states. She also served as vice president of recruiting for a large, regional bank and consulted for a boutique human resources firm.

A motivational speaker, Judy enjoys giving volunteer talks to Girl Scouts about landing their first jobs. She also speaks to associations about recruiting volunteers and providing rich, meaningful experiences for them.
