“I like being at the center of the storm,” says Denise Doll-Kiefer. “It’s when my best thinking occurs.”

And smart thinking under high pressure is what characterizes Denise’s 20-year career in finance. Consistently, she has found herself in the midst of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and any number of other complex financial transactions that require a calm, focused and incisive analysis of complex and sometimes arcane data.

Denise has served as CFO, Director of Finance, Controller and Accounting Manager – giving her a broad view of the role that corporate finance plays in a company’s success. Her experience has involved a multitude of international work, including helping manufacturing companies establish or manage their overseas operations. In every case, Denise has been a quick study – assembling information, evaluating risk and opportunity and making chief decisions.

SALO came as no surprise to Denise. In fact, she knew the company and its culture from the other side of the table – as a client. “In addition to being attracted to SALO’s smart people and their outstanding finance work, I found myself intrigued and excited by the prospect of working in an entirely new environment where I believed I could add value,” Denise notes.

Denise graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cardinal Stritch University and earned her Minnesota Executive Program / M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management. Outside of work, Denise enjoys the challenge of training and running her Hungarian Vizsla in Canine Agility Trials.
