
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION HONORS SALO WITH A GOLD
“FIT-FRIENDLY COMPANY” AWARD
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, OCTOBER, 2008 – The American Heart Association (AHA) has honored SALO, LLC as a 2008 “Start! Fit-Friendly Company.” The AHA Start! Movement is intended to be a catalyst for positive change in the workplace across America. It recognizes companies that demonstrate progressive leadership by making the health and wellness of their employees a priority. As a “Start! Fit-Friendly Company,” SALO will be featured in the October 27 issue of Forbes magazine.
SALO has been recognized by the AHA at the Gold Level, which means that it meets the following criteria:
• Offers employees physical activity support at the worksite
• Has increased the number of healthy eating options available to employees
• Promotes a wellness culture at the worksite
• Embraces at least nine criteria as outlined by the AHA in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture
