SALO DEEPENS ITS MANAGEMENT BENCH WITH SEVERAL KEY HIRES
Company Names New Leaders for Finance and Consultant Services and Adds Top Performer to Business Development Team
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, August 15, 2007 SALO, the Twin Cities' leading provider of finance, accounting and human resources staffing solutions with its affiliate companies Oberon and NumberWorks, today announced a series of significant SALO hires including the company's first CFO, its first Director of Consultant Services and an additional Manager of Business Development.
By adding key leadership in finance and consultant services, SALO deepens its already impressive management team enabling co-founders John Folkestad and Amy Langer to focus more on longer-term strategy and planning for their enormously successful five year old staffing and search firm.
"As we continue to grow at a breakneck pace, it has become apparent that SALO is no longer a start-up but a well-established company with specific, well-defined management needs," Langer said. "John and I are fortunate to have found three ideal individuals to lead critical functions at SALO. This will enable us to spend more time at the 30,000 foot level charting SALO's future course," Langer added. SALO has grown from 2 employees and one business line in 2002 to three companies and a projected cumulative headcount of 350 by the end of 2007. Revenues have consistently eclipsed projections, rising from $55,000 in 2002 to an anticipated $42MM this year.
Denise Doll-Kiefer joins SALO as CFO from MTS Systems, where she spent a decade as director of finance. She brings to SALO broad financial leadership skills, which will become increasingly important as SALO continues to pursue strategic growth opportunities.
Craig Dexheimer has been named SALO's first Director of Consultant Services with responsibility for SALO consultants and the operations and administration of the firm. He joins SALO from UnitedHealth Group, where he spent five years, most recently as director of human resources. In addition to overseeing the rapid recruitment and integration of talent at SALO, Dexheimer also plans a top-down review of SALO benefits to make sure that the company's package remains a competitive advantage.
Finally, Julie Tanaka has joined SALO as Manager of Business Development. Tanaka, who holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University, brings to SALO a perfect mix of finance leadership positions and business development skill at many of the Twin Cities' leading financial institutions including US Bank, RBC Dain Raucher and PricewaterhouseCoopers. At SALO, Tanaka will, join the fast-paced business development group to help sustain the company's spectacular growth trajectory.
Dexheimer and Doll-Kiefer will support all SALO companies including Oberon and NumberWorks. Tanaka will focus on business development for SALO Search the arm of SALO that is responsible for interim placements in the finance/accounting market.
