MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. (July 6, 2005) Gwen Martin has been named Director of the Project Division of SALO, LLC in Minneapolis effective June 20, 2005. SALO Project provides clients with the seasoned interim financial professionals needed to execute key projects within their organizations.

With more than 16 years of experience in the placement industry, and two years with SALO, the Project division will benefit from Martin's wealth of knowledge about the marketplace and the top-notch professionals working in it.

Martin began her career in the recruiting and placement industry after graduating from St. Thomas University in 1987. She joined a locally based, national placement agency in 1990 and was an integral part of building a high-performance accounting and finance division and rolling it out on a national basis during the 1990's. Expanding her experience to the corporate side, Gwen assisted a Fortune 100 retailer with the organizational structure of a newly formed e-commerce division, and went on to establish two new companies since 2000.

Martin has thrived on the front line of a very fast paced competitive industry. She has seen the employment horizon evolve away from the traditional, one-company career into one in which skill-based portfolio careers are the trend. Martin advises mid to senior level professionals as they navigate these new waters.

Martin serves on the boards of directors for Financial Executives International in Career Services and St. Thomas University.
