mentoring. We take an active role within the business community
and in supporting educational institutions.
BestPrep
BestPrep is a statewide nonprofit that serves 100,000 students and teachers in grades 4-12 annually. More than 1,000 volunteers from business, labor, education, government, and social services conduct presentations in classrooms, work with students, serve as faculty-in-residence, provide technology related services to schools, and participate on committees and/or the board of directors. BestPrep's mission is to best prepare Minnesota students with business, career and financial literacy skills through experiences that inspire success in work and life.
Cristo Rey
The Minneapolis Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is part of a national network of 13 schools that began in 1996 in Chicago. An ambitious effort that targets economically disadvantaged, inner city youth. This private, college-preparatory high school which opened in the fall of 2007 combines education with real world job experience to help students prepare for a successful future.
Washburn Center for Children
For over 125 years, Washburn Center for Children has been helping children and their families with social, emotional, and behavioral problems lead successful lives. Washburn helps them at home, in school and in their community by helping to develop skills, resolve issues, and connect with supportive resources. Washburn is committed to providing supportive services as well as advocating for children’s mental health. Washburn Center for Children has remained focused on its founder’s vision to provide help to children “without question or distinction as to age, sex, race, color or religion.”
